Bin There, Done That Handcrafted Garbage Truck Fordite Pendant Necklace
Own a piece of industrial archaeology. While most Fordite comes from the assembly lines of automobiles, this unique pendant is sourced from years of accumulated overspray on waste management and heavy-duty utility vehicles. Each layer represents a different fleet color, baked onto the metal through thousands of cycles in the paint booth. This rugged, asymmetrical cut reveals a "stratigraphic" map of lime greens, safety yellows, and industrial greys. It’s a tribute to the machines that keep our world moving, repurposed into high-end wearable art. It’s colorful, tough, and has a history as deep as its layers. This pendant hangs from a stainless steel rope chain that’s just as rugged as the industrial machines it was sourced from. Built for the daily grind and the night out, this necklace brings a high-octane look with a build quality that’s as tough as the trucks it came from.
All of our pendant necklaces are reversible for two distinct looks!

Built in Layers. Worn with Pride.
Born from factory floors, paint booths, and ocean-swept workshops, Layer & Flow Jewelry Design transforms industrial history into wearable art. Each piece is handcrafted by Laura using authentic Fordite and Surfite - materials formed over time through layers of paint, pressure, motion, and craftsmanship.
Once part of legendary machines and working environments - Jeep, Kenworth, Maritime Navy and more - these layered materials carry stories of movement, resilience, and innovation. Through careful cutting, shaping and polishing, those stories are preserved, not erased, revealing vibrant patterns that can never be repeated.
No two pieces are ever the same, because no two histories are the same. Every curve, color, and striation reflects time, labor and legacy - reimagined as something to be worn, shared, and cherished.
