Bright color meets mechanical ingenuity in the Citrus Current™ Piston Pen, a handcrafted writing instrument that brings together eye-catching design, distinctive materials, and an engaging piston mechanism. With its vibrant yellow and aqua blue pattern set against translucent white, this pen captures a sense of movement and energy that makes it stand out from ordinary writing instruments.
Finished with polished chrome hardware and distinctive brass accents on the piston assembly, the Citrus Current™ offers a striking combination of playful color and mechanical sophistication. It's an unusual writing instrument designed for those who appreciate individuality, craftsmanship, and a little personality in the everyday.
The Citrus Current™ features a lively blend of sunny yellow, refreshing aqua blue, and translucent white. The colors flow through the body in irregular, organic patterns, creating the appearance of swirling currents frozen within the material.
Some areas showcase bold splashes of yellow and aqua, while others reveal softer, cloudlike transitions through the translucent background. This contrast gives the pen visual depth and makes its pattern especially interesting as the light moves across its polished surface.
The bright, cheerful color palette is complemented by the sleek metallic finish, creating a distinctive balance between contemporary style and mechanical character.
Every handcrafted piece has its own individual pattern, making this pen a unique addition to any writing collection.
The defining feature of the Citrus Current™ is its distinctive piston-style mechanism. Combining practical writing functionality with an intriguing mechanical design, this pen offers more than the conventional ballpoint experience.
The piston mechanism operates through a mechanical rod system that extends and retracts the refill. Its exposed components create a fascinating mechanical focal point, while the gold accents add warmth and contrast to the polished metal hardware.
The result is a writing instrument that feels both inventive and refined. Whether you're using it to sign documents, jot down notes, or simply appreciating its unusual construction, the Citrus Current™ makes even an everyday task a little more interesting.

Is this pen one of a kind?
Yes. Each writing instrument is individually handcrafted, and the pattern of the material makes every finished piece distinctive. Once sold, it cannot be precisely recreated.
How does the piston mechanism work?
The piston-style mechanism uses a mechanical rod system to extend and retract the refill, adding an interactive mechanical element to the writing experience.
What refill does it use?
This pen uses a Parker-style ballpoint refill with black ink. Replacement refills are widely available.
Is it suitable for everyday writing?
Absolutely. Its ballpoint design makes it practical for everyday writing, while its colorful appearance and distinctive mechanism make it a standout accessory.
Each writing utensil is individually handcrafted. Due to the nature of the material and process, no two pieces are ever exactly the same—and once sold, it cannot be precisely recreated.
Made in our Palmer, Massachusetts workshop by a U.S. Navy Veteran, every pen reflects a commitment to quality, precision, and true small-batch American craftsmanship. Each piece is created individually with careful attention to detail—never mass-produced.
